I really love Japanese craft books. They are the best! I was so inspired that I tried out 2 projects. The denim bag was my first one and it was really hard to embroider on dark fabric as I could not find a good solution to transfer the images. I used a white marker and had to free hand a lot. The second is a simpler piece on a nice piece of fabric I got from the dollar store!

Back to writing after a short break. The MET show in Toronto was not as I expected….the turn out of people was fairly low and sales were slow but it was an excellent learning experience and everyone at the show was very nice!
Since the whole world seems to be in economic turmoil I am going to be concentrating on making small dollhouse food miniatures to sell on etsy as an experiment. I learned from the show that people prefer buying singles rather than a set as they may be adding to an existing dollhouse or scene.
I have decided to stop working on dollhouse miniatures after the MET show in Toronto this weekend. After the show I plan on concentrating on adding lots of new deco items I have been designing to my store including some simple jewelry pieces in PMC clay.
The final project is going to be a simple homey type of display with lots of cute mini’s like books, magazines, paint brushes etc.
I was PM’d on etsy a short while ago by Debbie of Debbie Gootter Designs asking me if I would be interested in being a featured etsy seller on her blog! I was very excited and said yes
Check it out on her blog Etsy Featured Artist
